1. These regulations aim to regulate the review of papers submitted to the Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles.
2. All paper review procedures are conducted through the online submission system. Papers submitted through the online submission system are accepted by the editorial board after determining whether the topic fits the purpose of this journal. The editorial board member in charge is selected based on the major field. The editorial board member in charge reviews the content of the submitted paper and recommends reviewers. The editor-in-chief appoints the reviewers based on their expertise and academic contribution.
3. The review criteria for submitted papers are 1) originality of the research topic, 2) clarity of expression and logical structure, 3) validity of review of prior research, 4) appropriateness of research method, 5) validity of the paper's results, 6) academic contribution of the paper, and 7) appropriateness of references.
4. Submitted papers are reviewed by two or more reviewers, and the editorial committee determines whether or not to publish them.
5. Review results are categorized into “publish as it is,” “publish after minor revision,” “further review after major revisions,” or “reject.”
6. If the review results are “publish as it is” and revisions are requested, the author must revise the paper and submit the revised paper along with a review response. The paper will be published upon approval by the editor-in-chief, editorial committee member, or additional readers.
7. If the author finds that the revisions and supplements are insufficient based on the review results, the editorial committee may decide whether or not to publish the paper.
8. If the content of the manuscript falls under any of the following, the reviewer will specifically point out the relevant issues and determine that the manuscript cannot be published.
9. Even if a submitted paper is judged as “publish as it is,” if it is subsequently deemed unpublishable due to plagiarism or other reasons, the editorial committee may determine the manuscript as “reject” regardless of the review results.
10. The reviewers and the editorial content shall be kept confidential.
11. Reviewers must prepare a review report within 15 days of being assigned to review.
12. If a reviewer does not submit a review report within 30 days of being assigned to review, the reviewer may be dismissed.
13. For papers submitted more than one year ago, unless there are special circumstances recognized by the Editorial Board, only revised manuscripts that arrive at the Society within six months of the request for revision will be accepted for publication. Authors will be notified that manuscripts that are submitted after six months without the above-mentioned reasons will be subject to resubmission.
14. Matters not specified in these regulations will be handled by the Editor-in-Chief in accordance with customary practice and reported to the Editorial Board.
