About this Journal

The official journal title is The Korean Fashion and Textile Research Journal. The abbreviated form is KFTRJ.

KFTRJ was established in 1999. Initially, the journal was named the “Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing Industry.” In the year 2023, the journal name was changed to “The Korean Fashion and Textile Research Journal.” This journal focuses on publishing papers that pertain to novel ideas for the research topics and are associated with the textile and fashion industry. The main focus is the Korean fashion and textile industry, and topics are extended to global issues that significantly affect the Korean industry. Some, or all, of the articles in this journal are indexed in DOI/Crossref, Google Scholar, and Korea Citation Index (KCI). The 2022 KCI IF (released in 2023. July) was the highest among the journals in the related field, so the KFTRJ is growing into a representative journal in the Korean textile and fashion industry. The journal is an open access journal. Articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
